Communication
Broadway Hometown Partnership places great importance on communication
between itself and Broadway businesses. Publications such as our quarterly
Main Street Newsletter, Capitalization, the BHP webpage and many other
initiatives assist BHP in maintaining an effective and productive
line of communication. Please find listed below initiatives that will
be put into place in 2004.
2004 Projects
Broadway Business Alliance:
To promote the sharing of ideas and encourage business cooperation,
meeting dates between business owners shall be established. These
meetings will serve as an excellent forum to discuss concerns common
to all Broadway businesses, seek out solutions to these problems and
introduce Broadway Hometown Partnership initiatives.
- Meetings will be hosted by Broadway Hometown Partnership with
business owners exercising the most active voice.
- Meeting dates should be quarterly and announced at least one month
prior to the established date.
- Sufficient interest will need to be garnered to ensure successful
meetings. No less than ten business owners will be considered sufficient
interest.
- Meetings will take place at the Broadway Council Chambers with
the permission of the Town Manager.
Business Visitation:
To make certain Broadway Hometown Partnership maintains its focus
and continues to be responsive to the needs of business, regular visitation
will be required. A meeting should be established with every business
in the corporate limits of Broadway at least once annually to collect
ideas and address concerns. To assure this task is completed it will
require the effort of every Board member.
- Directors will select a minimum of five businesses to meet with
over the course of 2004.
- Forms created to collect ideas and voice concerns will be created
by the Executive Director and should be completed at the meeting.
- Quarterly progress reports should be provided and explained to
the business owner.
Capitalization (Four
Issues Annually)
A written report of what is happening in the Broadway business community,
including data on sales tax, population, business trends, expert advice,
design assistance, and more.
Broadway Hometown Partnership Website:
The Broadway Hometown Partnership Web site is both informative and
interactive. It works like an on-line directory, listing members by
name or by product/service category. Each member receives one free
listing, but duplicate listings; enhancements such as specific information
about your business and logos can be added for a nominal fee. The
Web site also includes current information on the BHP events and provides
direct links to other sites that provide information on virtually
any question about Broadway.
2004 Annual Dinner:
To celebrate successes, introduce new businesses and thank volunteers,
members and directors Broadway Hometown Partnership will continue
to hold an annual dinner. This dinner shall be held in January and
will include:
- An update on the progress of this work plan.
- Introduction of a new work plan.
- A theme to be designated by the Organization committee.
- A silent auction for the purpose of fundraising. V. Any other
item designated as necessary or proper by the Organization Committee.
